Bringing Virtual Figures to Life and Creating Convincing Animated Characters for Film, Games and Television. This popular 2 day intensive workshop presents unique and highly effective advanced character development techniques for character animators and game developers. Conducted in partnership with leading members of the media-pedagogical community around the world, the Psychomechanics International Training Tour dynamically introduces participants to a system integrating the pre-production and production processes which, in derivative applications, have been utilized in the most internationally successful animated U.S. films of the past 5 years.

Participants should wear loose non-restrictive clothing and be prepared to engage in intellectually challenging and physically interactive exercises.

Dragon*Con is America’s largest annual convention for fans of Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror, Comics and Art, Games and Computers, Animation, Science, Music, Television and Films.
Dragon*Con 2001 will be held August 31-September 3, Friday - Monday (259 days away) in downtown Atlanta, Georgia, USA. Our host hotels will expand to include the familiar Hyatt Regency Atlanta (events, activities and gaming) and the Atlanta Marriott Marquis (dealers’ and exhibitors’ halls, and our art show), across the street.

Four-Day Memberships
Dragon*Con membership covers all four days, all panels, workshops, events, demonstrations, concerts, performances, contests, and a host of other activities. The only things not covered in your membership fee are the Guest of Honor Banquet, most Tournament Gaming sessions, materials costs (for a few workshops), and certain autographs (at the sole discretion of the autographer; mostly screen stars).

Eternal Memberships
Dragon*Con Eternal Memberships guarantee membership for all Dragon*Con conventions in the future, including the upcoming Dragon*Con. Other features of Eternal Memberships include a special ribbon, pin, and events with the guests, plus occasional freebies and other perks when we can arrange them. There are only a few of these memberships left.
Fan Club Discounts
We invite all fan clubs to represent themselves at Dragon*Con. We provide complimentary fan tables, good for the entire weekend (while they last), and also provide programming time to interested fan clubs.
Requests will be honored on a first-come, first-served basis, and space is limited, so contact us as early as possible.

We offer a $5 group discount off the prevailing rate per membership for ten or more memberships purchased in advance via one check or money order. (These are available through our office by mail only.) Just send us registration forms for each person in your group or organization so we can make your laminated badges; confirmations and progress reports will be sent to each person individually. You must include names and addresses for all members in your group.

On-Site (at-the-door) Registration
Registration for Dragon*Con 2001 will likely again be located in the Hyatt’s International Ballroom. Our registration hours of operation will be announced later. For On-Site Registration and TicketMaster badge pick-up, Dragon*Con utilizes a professional registration system provided by Interactive Software Systems, running on an IBM AS/400 mini-computer system with numerous data entry stations and laser printers to help keep lines as short as possible.
Additional booths are set up for Guests, Staff, Media, Performers, Dealers/Exhibitors, and Handicapped Access. A special booth called the Solutions Desk is available for those who have special registration needs (like membership conversions, transfers, etc.) and also serves as a source for information and the command center for registration in general.

Transfer Policy
If you can’t attend Dragon*Con after you’ve preregistered you may transfer your membership to another person. This notice of transfer must be in writing and have the signatures of both the original member and the new member. We’d prefer to receive these in advance, but we know that sometimes things crop up on short notice. Therefore, we will accept membership transfers at-the-door; please see our “Solutions” Desk in the registration area. Please note that memberships can no longer be transferred forward to the following year.
