<p>At this event, we have brought together two expert commentators on business management and strategy &#8211;  Tim Harford, The Undercover Economist and Freek Vermeulen, Professor of Strategy at London Business School. The conference will challenge the common perceptions of business management, re-examining a number of core management ideas and practices while also looking at the importance of adaptive, trial-and-error processes in tackling issues.</p>
<p>Tim will argue that organisations must be willing to adapt and improvise, making incremental improvements rather than sweeping changes. Freek will look at why the reality of business management and corporate strategy is far removed from what we would expect.<br />

<p>The International Lean Conference provides an excellent opportunity for practitioners, public sector leaders, communities of practice and academics to share knowledge and experience and explore, develop and exchange outcomes of high performance methodologies in the public sector.  As public sector stakeholders, we all have a part to play in transforming our organisations, into &#8220;doing more with less&#8221;.</p>
<p>We have many experienced Lean specialists from around the world presenting papers, workshops, plenary sessions, poster sessions, master classes; even a free tour of HMRC and their practices.  Welcome drinks at The Spinnaker Tower, and a Gala Dinner on HMS Warrior, make this a really interactive and fun event.</p>
