* Technical Committee on Circuits and Systems
* Technical Committee on Signal Processing
* Technical Committee on Pattern Recognition
* Technical Committee on Information Systems
* Technical Committee on Telecommunications

PURPOSE

With the development of analog and digital integrated circuits (ICs), designs and applications are now being approached at the system level, integrating the transmission and transformation of signals and signal processing circuits. Current issues relating to signals include processing, visualization, transmission, control, and behaviour. Within the area of circuits, pertinent topics include analog and digital ICs, nanotechnology, sensors, bioelectronics, molecular electronics, optoelectronics, sprintronics, and wireless communications. Relevant issues in control include optimization, computational aspects, artificial intelligence, robotics, and modelling and simulation.

The IASTED International Conference on Circuits, Signals, and Systems (CSS 2007) will be an international forum for researchers and specialists to exchange new ideas and practical experience in the above areas. It will provide an opportunity to present and observe the latest research, results, and ideas, and to collaborate on current issues identified by conference participants.

CSS 2007 will be held in conjunction with the IASTED International Conference on:
Computational Intelligence (CI 2007)
Communications, Internet, and Information Technology (CIIT 2007)

LOCATION

Nestled in the heart of the Canadian Rockies and spanning 6,641 square kilometres of valleys, mountains, glaciers, forests, meadows, and rivers, Banff National Park is truly one of the world’s premier destination spots. Banff was Canada’s first national park and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Summer in Banff means time to put away the skis and bring out the hiking boots. Banff National Park is a hiking wonderland, containing over 1,600 kilometres of trails. Even in July, the warmest month, the Rockies will fill you with awe as you fish, golf, camp, horseback ride, go whitewater rafting, or take a helicopter ride. Visitors can tour historic sites, soak in hot springs, stroll along the shores of Lake Louise, and enjoy many first class accommodations. Drive the Icefields Parkway into adjoining Jasper National Park and you have an excellent chance of seeing elk, deer, moose, and black bears along the roadside. Take a ride on the Banff gondola or spend just one night camping under the diamond-lit sky and you will be convinced that this is the most beautiful place on earth.

15TH INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM ON SYSTEM SYNTHESIS October 2, 2002 October 4, 2002 Japan

http://www.isss-symposium.com/
The International Symposium on System Synthesis (ISSS) is a major international forum presenting emerging techniques for the system-level design and synthesis of computing systems. Having begun as the International Workshop on High-Level Synthesis in the mid-80’s, it attracts leading design automation professionals from around the world. The growing acceptance of commercial synthesis tools, and the unified view of both hardware and software that such tools enable have led to the symposium expanding such that it now covers system-level synthesis, hardware/software codesign, programmable (multi-) processor-based design, architectural and high-level synthesis, system-design experience and methodologies, embedded and real-time system software, synthesis for low power and testability and verifiability.
ISSS is recognized as an ideal forum for discussion and interchange of ideas on the latest research on system level design and synthesis. Quality of the technical program is the prime goal of the conference organizers. Furthermore, informal discussions between and after technical sessions are a valuable tradition of ISSS, which is promoted by arranging technical sessions and lodging in the same hotel.

ISSS 2002 is the 15th in this very successful series of symposia oriented towards professionals in design automation and system level design. In addition to regular presentations, the Symposium will include invited talks by leading industrial and academic experts. To encourage discussion among the Symposium participants, each technical session will consist of oral presentations followed by a poster session where the authors of presented papers will answer any further questions and provide additional details of their works. Proceedings of the Symposium will be published.
