ASGA’s New York City Student Government Training Conference
On the weekend of February 23-24, 2008, the American Student Government Association will sponsor the “New York City Student Government Training Conference.” The conference is a unique opportunity for student leaders from colleges across the region and the nationl to meet in New York City for a weekend of intense training and consulting on how to improve and enhance their Student Governments.
Any SG leader from any school, no matter what state you’re from, is welcome to attend!
ASGA’s “New York City Student Government Training Conference” is being hosted by Pace University’s Student Government Association.
This one-day forum will allow Student Government leaders at your college or university to share ideas and solutions, receive in-depth training and personal consultations from the acclaimed ASGA staff of SG experts, and to network with your peers nationwide.
The “New York City Student Government Training Conference” features:
? Intensive workshops designed to address specific needs and solutions for Student Governments
? Some of the most experienced, knowledgeable, and passionate staff and presenters in the nation to help you get the most out of your term as an SG officer or leader
? Networking opportunities with SG officers and advisors throughout the Northeast and the entire nation
? Workshops and presentations that also directly apply to collegiate advisors and administrators
? A keynote address entitled ?How Important is Student Government?”
What is the cost?
$179 for ASGA members ($100 off!), and $279 for non-members (Register by December 19, 2007, to get these early-bird rates). There are discounts for registering more students.
What will be the total attendance?
Attendance will be limited to 200 SG leaders and advisors.
What?s included in the registration fee?
The fee includes admission to all workshops and presentations, extensive hand-outs, a catered buffet lunch, a continental breakfast, and complimentary drinks and snacks, copies of Student Leader magazine, an SG Planner from Premier, an ASGA t-shirt from campusTshirts.com, a 10% discount on ASGA membership, 35% discount on in-person consulting, and one-hour private consultations by appointment only. Dinner, travel and airfare, hotel accommodations, transportation to and from the conference location, and incidentals are not included.
Where will the event be held?
The conference will be held on the beautiful campus of Pace University. Pace’s Student Government Association is a member of ASGA.
